This week I find myself in Spring Texas. I have driven through the area many times and never realized it was here. If you have been to larger metropolitan areas it’s not uncommon to have many cities begin and end without you even knowing due to the urban sprawl. Among the hustle and bustle is a gem of an RV park called Rayford Crossing RV Resort. The road to the park was closed for construction which I found out too late. After many embarrassing attempts to back out of the construction zone, I was finally successful! If you are in the area make sure you visit the park, just read the fine print on your reservation to get the details on the detour.
After finishing my work for the day, it was time to find something to eat and drink. Fortunately there is not a shortage of either in the area. In fact, in Spring is a company called Mpact beverage Co. who makes a wine based island hurricane and a margarita. Though, it’s not my favorite, if you like sweet high alcohol drinks it may be right up your alley. I did find a local beer though, that was exactly what i wanted. It is made by Buffalo Bayou brewing company and it’s a American Cream Ale. If you tend to like Ales, give it a try.
The decision to bring my rivet (Airstream) on this trip has been a blessing that may become a curse due to a major cold front blowing in on the day I leave. They are calling for 40 mph winds and possible snow!
So long for now. Wish me luck!
